Why do the Street Life "Singing
Doll" fashions and the Galoob "Spiceworld"/"Spice
It Up! 2" fashions look so similar?
- Mel B. and Victoria's fashions look almost identical.
- Emma is a little different and Mel C.'s fashion is not
similar at all.
Well they are from the same fashion set, probably the same
song on the tour. The Street Life "Singing Doll"
fashions seem to have been taking for this fashion set before
the Galoob "Spiceworld"/"Spice It Up! 2"
fashions. As the tour proceeded, the fashions would wear out
and need to be replaced. The designers either replaced the
fashions with an exact copy, a slightly altered version, or
a completely new fashion.
Are the Street Life fashions a generic versions of the Galoob
fashion? Not really, the Street Life fashions match the fabrics
used earlier in the tour. So it's not the quality of the dolls
fashions are better or worse, it is just later i in the tour
the fashions had richer, more textual fabrics.
If a Geri dolls would have been produced it looks like she
would have had a similar fashion in both sets. The only real
difference is the sides of her top, they started out a light
silver and later become a bluish silver color. |
